Save a nameserver preset

Keep a reusable set of nameservers so you can apply it to another domain without typing it again.

Before you start

  • Have your provider’s complete set of nameserver hostnames ready.
  1. 1

    Open Nameserver Presets

In the sidebar, open Manage, then choose Nameserver Presets. The library contains built-in provider presets and any presets you saved.

Built-in presets can be used as the starting point for your own saved preset.

    Add your own preset

Click Add Preset, give the preset a recognizable name, and enter its nameservers. You can also edit a built-in preset to save your own version. Check the values before saving.

  3. 3

Choose the preset on a domain

Open your domain from My Domains and click Nameservers. Open Preset (Optional), search for your preset, and select it. Check the filled values, then click Save Nameservers to apply them.

The Nameservers tab contains your provider preset and individual nameserver fields.

What happens next

Your saved preset is available in the picker. Saving a preset alone does not apply it to a domain; save the nameservers on each domain you want to update.

Need a little more help?

Can I save a preset from a domain’s nameserver page?

Yes. Enter the nameservers, then use Save Preset to give that set a reusable name.

Will editing a preset update every domain using it?

Do not assume a preset edit changes domains automatically. Open the domain’s Nameservers tab, choose the preset, review the values, and save the change.
